Mr. Keith Johnson is an experienced Human Resource/ Industrial Relations Consultant with over 30 years of experience. He started his career in 1981 with the Telephone Company of Trinidad & Tobago as a Management Trainee having undergone significant formal as well as on-the-job training in all areas of Industrial Relations and Personnel Administration for two years. He progressed through that organisation in various capacities including Manager, Recruitment and Placement, and Installation & Repairs Manager, a position in which he was charged with the management of 126 persons.
Keith also served in the capacity of Industrial Relations Consultant with WASA, where he successfully negotiated with the National Union of Government & Federated Trade Union and the Public Service Association. For the various interventions under his purview, Keith maintained relationships with the Inter-ministerial Negotiation Team, Chief Personnel Officer, Company Lawyers, Ministry of Labour, and the Industrial Court. In 1996 he joined Ernst & Young as Senior Consultant responsible for setting up their Executive Search Unit. He also functioned as a member of their management consulting team specifically providing support in the area of human resources on all Organisational Diagnosis and Organisational Development Projects. He conducted comprehensive salary surveys and provided industrial relations advice and representation on behalf of clients.
From February 1998 to 2002 he had been employed with the West Indian Tobacco Company Limited as Industrial Relations and Personnel Administration Manager where he ensured the maintenance and application of a solid salary and wage administration system by applying the procedures in accordance with the Job Evaluation System. From October 2013, Keith has been involved in several consultancy projects the major one dealing with the provision of strategic human resource advice to Petrotrin. Keith holds a BSc degree, in Industrial Management from the University of the West Indies.
